Abstract FAQs

Are there any guidelines for abstract content and format?

  • The short version is limited to 2,600 characters (including spaces). Changes to created abstracts are possible until they are submitted. The following structure must be adhered to: title, question, method, results and conclusion. The abstract should contain all relevant data and figures. Because it is edited anonymously, the text may not contain any references to the names of the authors, the names of the clinics or their location.
  • The use of special text formatting in the title or content of the abstract should be done sparingly. There is no guarantee that all formatting will appear correctly in all output media.
  • Do not use non-standard abbreviations.
  • All persons listed must agree to the content of the abstract and the publication in the abstract volume, on the congress website and in the main program.
  • An abstract may not be submitted multiple times under different topics of the congress. The speaker must be mentioned first in each case. The number of authors, including the speaker, is limited to ten. The former is responsible for compliance with ethical regulations and animal welfare laws. When uploading images, it is confirmed that the copyright for these images belongs to the authors of the abstract. The short version must be formulated in such a way that it can be printed (new spelling).
